Annette M. Paige
January 2, 1937 - May 2, 2010Our dance team suffered the loss of one of our dearest members on May 2, 2010. Annette joined the Country Kickers on August 25, 1999. A great dancer, fast learner, good listener and our hospitality coordinator, she was a vital part of our team. Annette was also instrumental in naming our dances. Mary choreographed the dances, but could never come up with a name. Annette named several ... Dream Mystique, Kickin' Up Dust, No Strings Attached, and one of her favorites "You Want Me To Do What?", a phrase she often used. Although she named another "No Bones About It", she didn't like doing that dance to the song when we used "I'm Yo Dog". (sorry Love Dogs)
Annette did a lot of traveling with the team, including The Bolton Fair, The Big "E" (where we couldn't leave without our Crispy Creams), Wachusett Mountain Applefest, Twin Rivers Casino, Newburyport's Yankee Homecoming Festival, and Hot Country Nights at City Hall Plaza in Boston just to name a few. She also danced at benefits like the Relays for Life, Central Mass Limb Loss Support Group, Worcester Firefighters Assoc., Arthritis Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis, Abby's House, and Home for Our Troops.
She danced along side The Don Campbell Band, The Love Dogs, The Reminisants, Country Mile, The Help Wanted Band, and Scooter Lee.
We miss her immensely on the dance floor with and in our lives. We know she is in heaven getting everyone to dance up there and we know she'll be watching us at our performances, which we are dedicating to her. She holds a very special place in our hearts and she will never be forgotten. She'll always be a "Kicker". Until we meet again on heaven's floor...
Love,
The Country Kickers Dance Team
